The car originally came with halogen bulbs. I originally switched them to led but no matter what brand i bought it didnt shine enough light on the road to see. So gave up on led and switched HID

I bought it with 90,000 miles and car now has 198,000
Did you ever have to service to AC? Like a recharge or replace the compressor or condenser?
No till this day i havent touched the AC
how did you go about getting the two 11mm nuts off the attach at the trans? i cant get those off to save my life

@@LuisGee yeah mine were rusted to hell but I eventually got them off with 4 extensions and a swivel head ratchet lmao
@@LuisGee the other main issue I ran into was the fitment back into the mid pipe. I could barely get the driver side to seat in more than an inch so I’m running a small exuast leak atm. Any tips ?
@@joshsvoboda6712 i hit it with a rubber mallet lol and it slid in way more. J had the same issue too

I have the G20 Msport package got it brand new in 2021 it was a lease I drive this car all over lol hahahah I daily drive it 38 miles 1 way to work little nervous should I have something to worry about it but i definitely love the car… beautiful car man love what u did with it 🔥
I have a 2012 F30 with 207,000 miles. I bought it used with approx. 30K. It’s been very reliable but maintained by myself meticulously - regular oil changes, misc. preventative maintenance, and more. The only “complaint” or “major” issue I’ve had is the wastegate rattle. I had to simply manually adjust the PWG and install a new arm. Oh, the one thing that upsets me is the cluster. I had to pull a fuse to stop parasitic battery drain following the temperature sensor causing an internal error. Best car ever! Looks new, runs great, and pulls! I have a charge pipe, intake, exhaust, and BootMod3 tune.

you ever needed to do timing chain or just YOLOd it? Im at 118,000 about to tune, weighing if I should change timing chain before that. Religious on 5k oil since 20k when I bough it.
@@poomunj i never did the timing chain. I’m at 198,000 and still haven’t touched the chain lol

These engines are truly reliable when the taken care of appropriately. 3k intervals are a bit extreme (I do 5k, which every single turbo vehicle should be serviced at), but cheers for actually maintaining it. The plastic guides are not the problem, the problems were the tensioner and the ridiculous service intervals BMW service centers recommended. The guides and chains were updated along with the tensioner. The new guides and chains are over-engineered components.

@9:09 felt your pain. Mine was a BIOTCH to get the old ones out and even bigger bear for the new ones to mount to the mid pipe section. Did you install the brackets under neath the car that are supposed to be used to replace the OEM bracket? I optioned to not install mine as they wouldn’t fit. I did get the charge pipes which were super easy to replace.
Which bracket? I didnt have any brackets to install.

I'm looking to buy an n20 528i pre 2015, do you think it's a bad idea? I know how to do the proper part of maintenance but the internet is wild and i saw a lot of people hating this engine in special
To be totally honest i don’t think the 5 series shouldve ever got the n20. To big of a car for that engine. I recommend at least getting the n55 for the 5series. But if you want to get the n20 specifically just check the car fax and make sure it was maintained.

The car just had a muffler delete. Took it to an exhaust shop to get it done
The "hose" the runs across the front of the bay is actually the passenger side hood release cable.
I have drove mine from 130-230km now Did a Geabox flush, and a checkup of the timingchain, which looked fine at 175k ish Since 225k now there has been squeaking from the belt in the front of the engine bay, which goes louder after a ride it like you stole it session Any suggestions what to do? Thought it was the cold weather, but its summer weather now and still going on the same. The coolant is also going 115-120 C degrees hot while the weather is hot here
I say replace all pulleys and the belt, will probably fix the squeaking noise.
@@LuisGee Yeah! Do you also have weird startups every now and then, where RPMs drops pretty far down after startup before stabilising after 10-15 sec?
@@JayMuthaFknC i actually don’t bro. You can try cleaning your maf sensor and see if that helps. Or if you have never replaced your intake inlet pipe check that. Because if there is any type of leak in the intake system it can cause rough idle

I have a question the front mount in your car. The rain doesn’t affect you at all or doesn’t scare you. I thought about the front and I thought about the rain and water and General.
We have drove the car already in heavy rain and its fine, we just don’t accelerate hard or floor it while it rains. You should be fine. And if you really want to be safe just buy the filter protection bag thing thats water proof
Gonna have to twist that DP clamp so the bolt is blocking the waste gate.. I did the same thing and it was throwing a WG code until I fixed it
So far so good lol. Been data logging with tuner and no problems. But I’ll keep a look out for WG issues lol

Hi there. My car has this map thermostat error code. Is this a relatively easy job for a noob? DIY
What size & brand tires are those ?
Do you really need a battery charger ? It's gonna be additional cost if need to buy 1 just for changing the thermostat. Any other options? Can just bleed by unscrewing the bleeding screw near the spare tank? Thanks
If your battery is healthy then you probably don’t really need a charger

I also have a 2016 bmw 550i. I currently am running intakes and charge pipes only but am really considering doing downpipe tune soon. Would you recommend to do the car. I mainly don’t want to start running into hella car problems like everyone claims with the n63 but my engine feel completely fine with 50k miles. Would you recommend?

My e30 map was a OTS map from BM3 nothing special. And then i also had a e40 map which was a custom tune from Navardi

Yo bro did you figure out how to take off the check engine light? Cause I see on the arm downpipe website they have a cel delete option ? I’m new to this but would that delete the check engine light?
I would say it’s a 50/50 chance it will. But the right way to do it is to tune the ecu and you can manually turn it off
@@LuisGee okay gotchu so basically safest way to 100% make sure it stays off is to manually do it by tuning the ecu
Don’t even bother with ARM CEL delete kit. The shit doesn’t fit 😒 I returned it. Like he said.. just get an off the shelf tune and you can get the CEL tuned out.
Would you recommend going downpipe intake tune with these cars. My main worry is reliability from what everyone says about these engines but it’s all from people who don’t own them. I do maintain my car good but just wonder if it’s recommended to switch to a different platform like b58
@@nickortiz6434 if you have the N63TU motor your in good shape. Change the oil every 5k miles, get the oil valve that makes your oil temp cooler, upgrade the radiator cap and you’re good to go. However im on the fence about going aftermarket intake as the OEM intakes do a phenomenal job with cooling off the motor and has been proven to cool the car better than the Aftermarket.
Would you ever do an engine swap or just buy another model?
If the motor ever goes out ill just put another n20 on it

I just did a muffler delete on my 15 550i sounds good not tooo loud not too quite ..and yeah I wouldn’t recommend straight piping these cause shit we’ll be loud asf
Downpipe n muffler delete is all you need

What size wheels were these?
Bro I literally just got arm for my 14 550i. Was the job hard ? Also I wanted to go on stock tune so just curious how the car was running.
Took me around 3 1/5 hours to do. And only annoying part is removing the downpipes from the actual exhaust to slide them out. And i mean it runs good on stock tune but i have the check engine light on because the o2’s can read that i don’t have catalytic converters
Would you recommend? I really am considering doing on my 2016 550i
